Automated Software Testing GearsOn Monday, March 24 through Friday, March 28, 2014, Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) will participate in the Object Management Group (OMG) Technical Meeting in Reston, Virginia. OMG is an international technology standards consortium that brings together technology professionals to collaborate around industry topics in a centralized location. The focus of the March 2014 meeting is the Federal Government and it will include programs on Software Quality, the Cloud and a Government Standards Summit.

Unlike typical conferences, OMG Technical Meetings are working sessions where technology leaders come together to discuss sustainable software industry standards. As an active member of OMG, IDT will participate in this quarterly meeting with vendors, end-users, academic institutions and government agencies to shape the future of technology.

As a thought leader in the area of Automated Software Testing, IDT provides valuable input on current topics surrounding software testing and quality assurance. Together with Simvention, and with support from Critical Logic, Intervise Consulting, and Lockheed Martin, IDT has submitted the Test Information Exchange (TestIF) specification standard to the OMG. The goal of the TestIF standard is to achieve a specification that defines the format for the exchange of test information between tools, applications, and systems that utilize it. The TestIF standard is currently in its final phases of OMG approval. (OMG members can access more information on the Beta version of TestIF here.)

Since 2006, IDT has been designing, developing and delivering best-in-class automated software testing solutions for the DOD, defense contractors and commercial customers. IDT’s Automated Test and ReTest (ATRT) technology is redefining the way large, complex software systems are being tested, analyzed and secured. IDT’s products and services increase testing efficiency, improve software quality and conserve program resources.
