Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) Partners with Arlington Public School Programs

Donates laptops to Arlington Career Center

Arlington, VA—August 15, 2013—On Wednesday, August 14, Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) representatives met with Jeff Elkner of the Arlington Career Center and the Governor’s Career & Technical Academy to donate laptops and discuss partnering opportunities. These career programs offer local high school students hands-on skills, industry certifications and college credit at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA).

Elkner, a computer science and math teacher for both programs, has a vision for providing laptops to students for use throughout the school year. In addition to presenting the laptops, IDT representatives Thom Garrett and Katherine Weller also discussed student internship opportunities with Elkner. Going forward, IDT hopes to share its expertise in automated software testing with interested students from these local programs.
