ARLINGTON, VA —Innovative Defense Technologies LLC (IDT) has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract by the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) for the integrating, testing, and certification of Navy systems. The contract, which includes a base and option years extending through June 2031, has a potential cumulative value of $748 million, with $44 million in initial funding obligated at the time of award.
Under this contract, IDT will expand, apply, and deliver Automated Test and Re-Test (ATRT) technologies to support the acceleration and fielding of existing and new systems and capabilities for NAVSEA. ATRT technology directly addresses challenges from intensive manual workflows in integration, testing, and certification through automation. This approach enables continuous regression testing, rapid verification of system requirements, and the automated generation of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) to accelerate system-level certification timelines and reduced costs.
