Navy Releases SBIR Success Story about Automated Test and ReTest (ATRT)

February 6, 2020—This week, the Navy published a new SBIR/STTR Success Story describing the benefits of Automated Test and ReTest (ATRT). ATRT is a scalable digital ecosystem enabling secure, cloud-based continuous integration, test, and deployment to virtual and digital twins with near real-time feedback from advanced analytics.

ATRT was developed by Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) in response to the Navy’s SBIR topic number N05-163, to address the need to accelerate the rate at which software-based capabilities can be integrated, tested, certified, and deployed in support of the Navy’s combat and weapons systems. It is an enabler for the Navy to deliver software updates on demand to these systems across the Fleet.

The Navy has leveraged ATRT capabilities across more than 125 projects in support of NAVSEA, NAVAIR, NAVWAR, and ONR. It has enabled the combination of combat system virtualization with near real-time system analysis, demonstrated in 2019 with the delivery of the AEGIS Virtual Twin.
