Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT) has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract by the Office of Naval Research for Project Paladin.
The contract supports advanced Automated Test and Re-Test (ATRT) enterprise capabilities and ATRT technology development to assist in execution of the Navy’s ATRT Commercialization Plan into operational programs.
Project Paladin includes applying ATRT technologies to conduct advanced test and evaluation of artificial intelligence (AI) applications from traditional and nontraditional companies prior to adoption into Navy programs. It also includes modifying and advancing ATRT technologies and products through the incorporation of AI. This may include partnering with AI companies to incorporate algorithms, data models, and applications into the ATRT environment.
The contract is valued at $96.3 million and funded at $18.7 million, consisting of a 24-month base period and three 12-month option periods.
Work will be performed in Arlington, Virginia, through May 2028. If options are exercised, work could continue through May 2031.
The award was competitively procured under the Navy and Marine Corps Long Range Broad Agency Announcement for Science and Technology. The Office of Naval Research serves as the contracting activity.
