IDT Attends Naval Future Force Science and Technology Expo

July 19, 2017–This week, IDT representatives will attend the Naval Future Force Science and Technology Expo being held July 20-21, 2017 at the Walter Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. This biennial event is sponsored by the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and is the premier science and technology event for the US Navy and Marine Corps. It is expected to attract several thousand attendees.

Event participants will hear from technical experts and senior leaders within the Navy, including the Chief of Naval Research Rear Adm. David Hahn. He is scheduled to deliver his strategic vision entitled: Naval Research and Development: A Framework for Accelerating to the Navy and Marine Corps After Next.

The Expo will also showcase some of the Navy’s and Marine Corp’s latest technologies and bring together the brightest minds from around the world to share information; discuss research opportunities; and build partnerships between the Navy, Marine Corps and industry.

While there, IDT representatives hope to deepen their understanding of the challenges facing the ONR and to learn how to best support their mission with the company’s leading-edge automated capabilities. They plan to participate in the dialogue regarding emerging technologies and to share the benefits of the innovative testing and analysis solutions developed by IDT.
